Saroja will hit the screens on 5 September, director Venkat Prabhu has said.

Speaking to reporters at a function organised to celebrate the birthday of music composer Yuvanshankar Raja, Venkat Prabhu said, ‘ my maiden directorial venture Chennai 600028 was a breezy entertainer. Saroja will be a jolly film’, said the actor-turned-director.

The entire story revolves around fun-loving youngsters. The incidents that occur in a day form the crux of the story, said Venkat Prabhu.

The movie, produced by T Siva of Amma Creations, is distributed by Pyramid Saimira. Vaibhav, S P B Charan, Premji Amaran and Jayaram form part of the cast. It has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja.
